One last tip: To preserve formatting, convert your resume to PDF format before sending it out. This will ensure that it will look the same to the reader as it does to you.  Just be sure to check the final PDF looks the way you want. It’s seems ironic, but I have seen it before when the PDF version doesn’t look exactly as the document from which it was printed. Shouldn’t happen but can. A computer technician and other tech professionals are expected to have an eye for detail, so ensure your resume is as you intended. If you don’t have PDF software then PDF Online offers a free online conversion utility. As suggested by Prem in the comments, more recent versions of Word can do it.
